About a days walk from Drakkar Trading Post, Krystalblood sat on one of the many rocks that surrounded an expansive lake, reading and writing small entries in her journal with a quill pen and bottle of ink. High noon soon beat down on her and her lips twitched into a smile. She had a feeling about today, she was going to have quite a few encounters today, and not all of them were going to be pleasant. She loved this feeling; she enjoyed good battle.

Blade walked up slowly to the stagnant lake. He had been waiting there patiently the last hour for his contact. All he knew about her was she was an elf with blonde hair. She grew up as a rogue and was a skilled swordsman and archer. He wasn’t a very patient person so he kept pacing. Blade knew he shouldn’t be exposed like this out in a clearing, near a lake none the less. He would feel much better crouching in the trees or in a bush with his sword out but his mission was to meet this person not assassinate her. He decided to wait but on his guard for any attack.

Krystal yawned, suddenly scratching an ear when she stopped. That sounded like...vibrations. Vibrations, footsteps! It sounded like footsteps! Quick as a flash, krystal put away her journal and ink and stood up, straightening her shirt and pants and sword belt out and took it out. the blade flashed a dim yellow in the noon sun and she breathed a sigh of relief. Sometimes she just couldn't go for a day without a good bloody battle and some excellent loot at the end. Today wasn't an exception.
With cat-like stealth(for being out in the open) Krystal made her away towards a lone figure about four hundred yards away her sword weighed heavily in her hand. As she got close enough she hailed the stranger, rapidly forming a plan in her mind.

Blade heard a noise behind him he quickly turned around drawing out his swords from their sheaths. He saw an elf cautiosly coming over greeting him. He slightly let down his guard and took in everything in his surroundings. He wanted to make sure that this elf was indeed who he thought she was so he walked closer to her.

Krystal jumped slightly when the stranger made no noise except draw his swords and come closer. Ampidextris people weren't to be messed with.
Deciding to quit with the friendliness Krystal slightly fell into a battle stance, slightly stooped, tense and both hands on her sword. Swaying slightly from left to right she eyed the stranger. "Pardon my cautiousness, but I was wondering what you were doing here? it's not often starngers come to this still place." she said matter-of-factly. Hmm those swords would sell well in the market....

Blade stopped as she talked to him. She didnt look like any other warrior he met. She looked like a theif to him. Nonetheless he spoke gruffly "I am supposed to be meeting a contact here from the adventurers clan."

Krystal started at the name, the same clan she joined? The same clan Cloud owned? She grinned devilishly to herself. She could vaguely remember Cloud saying something about a new recruit or something. Why not?
Krystal folded her arms and put away her sword. "I am that contact." she replied simply. Uh oh, what next? test him in battle or something? Bring him to the clan door? Better to ask questions first.
"What is your name and why do you wish to join the clan?" she asked.

Blade didnt make an attempt to smile or let down his guard. He simply said "My name is Blade. I am a skilled swordsman and would like to sharpen my skills and to also learn a few things". He kept his eyes fixed on her weapons. He had been cheated once before and didnt plan on it happening again.

Cloud approached the banks and saw two people off in the distance. His curiosity never got the best of him, and he wasn't going to change that. He approached with caution, unsheathing a dagger and sword, each crested with jewels and lined with runes on the blade. Although his sword and dagger were nice, a blade always looks better with fresh blood from a battle on it. With a wave of his hand, Cloud turned invisible, and he walked silently towards the two, standing right behind who he now recognized as krystalblood.

krystalblood shrugged, fair enough. "But first," she said, taking out her sword with deliberate slowness.
"But first I must test you. Cl-our leader doesn't take whiny novices." she said. Finally, the ability to test this young one out. 'Pff, he looks skinny enough, should be no problem.' Krystal thought with a sneer.
"If you can get me into a situation where I could not escape in other circumstances, you will win. if I do the same, you lose. Simple enough? Then lets begin." she said, waiting silently for her opponent to move.

Blade didnt show any hint of emotion but responded by stepping backwards ready to move on command. This was going to be easy. He had fought elves before and he felt confident that he could take on this one. He knew how to mess with his opponents mind and with a smile he appeared to vanish.
(I had to add the appear to part because i thought it might have been against the rules if not xD)

Krystal sneered, not changing position. "Wrong move, idiot. I can hear a butterfly's wings a half mile away in hurricane force gale." and she merely listened for her opponent, where he put his footsteps, his light, almost non-existant breathing. After a split second of collecting this information, with amazing speed she swung her sword diagonally a few feet to her left, where she thoguht she heard him.
Through all this, she never noticed Cloud a few meters away, almost directly out of eyesight to her.

Blade's laughter boomed throughtout the forest. "You cant find me that way. I am much higher than your sword can swing."

Krystal frowned, giving a small "hmph". 'Since when can there be echoes in forests?' she wondered forlornly. Looking at the forest a good few meters away with her sword at her side, held loosely in one hand, she frowned and resisted the urge to stick out her tongue.
"Remember that in battle it would do better to help your comrades then wait in the shadows for the right oppertunity to strike, every second is crucial." she said, hoping to cover up her furstration.

Blade serious now replied, "Remember who your oponent is. I do battle my way. You wanted this battle you are the enemy not my comrade." He lunged from one of the trees behind his oponents back and made an attempt at slashing her.
