OOC: If you want me to write third person, just say the word. IC: A calm, summers day. Sunlight sparkling through the open window of my hut, twinkling like falling stars upon the minaiture waterful I had created, cascading down the wall. I sighed, closing my eyes and sinking into my chair. Today was a good day, a day to relax. No one would disturb me, I'd made sure of that. Geof should be able to take care of the forge. The kids were long gone, having departed for 'clearer skies' as they put it. So, my wife and I didn't get along so well. At the beginning it had be great, with the whirlwind romance and the prepared marraige. Back then everything had been perfect. Unfortunately, I had not counted my new wifes temper. As the years went by, she fund more and more reasons to have a go at me; I hadn't dtaken the laundry off the line before it rained, I was never around, I apparently smelt if charred hair. All to often, these... disagreements, lets say, would erupt in to full blown arguments. Hence, everyday a storm was due for that evening. But not today. Oh no, not today. Today she was off at the other side of the forest, visting her aunt. Finally, some peace and quiet! I snuggled deeper into the depths of my featherdown arm chair. A full five months of freedom. I'd seen her off earlier. Time to put my feet up and relax... "SANDERS! TAKE YOUR FILTHY FEET OFF THE ANTIQUE, ONE OF A KIND TABLE THIS INSTANCE!" I jumped, leaping out of my chair in fright. Oh no. It couldn't be. My back was to the intruder, I stood, frozen, wishing with all my heart that it wasn't who I thought it was. I recognised that voice. But she was long gone! The sickly sweet smell of over ripe strawberries wafted across the room, confirming my fears. I sighed. If I didn't turn around soon, she would just grow angrier and would spend what remained of the day berating me for ignoring her. Resignedly, I turned around to face my wife. OOC: I'm sorry, I draw things out to much. I'll get there eventually... *hides*

Kossa noticed that her staff was creating more noise in the forest. It was crunching the fallen leaves more than usual. She heaves it over her back and has it so it looks like she's carrying a yoke. She then nimbly heads for the clearing like a shadow - trying to make little noise and vibration as possible.
She reaches the point where there are a few trees and more patches of sunlight. She lays her staff against a tree and whispers a weak spell to the staff, making it impossible for anyone else to grab it without suffering a surprising shock. She sat down and leaned against another tree to wait for the group of people to arrive and see her.

Cloud walked on, the sound of the minotaur getting ever closer. Cloud waved his hand and whispered some words, apparently looking towards Blade to receive these "words", and he received them without knowledge. Beyond the minotaur lay some being, apparently the size of the average human. Cloud closed his eyes and saw the creature, a drow. The drow stood in peace, not showing any hostility towards the three. "We shall invite her to the clan. I will gather a test before we reach the clan, after Blade battles the minotaur." Cloud whispered to Krystal. Cloud closed his eyes and whispered the words 'Do not attack the minotaur' to the drow, with the hope that she was able to hear his words supernaturally. He had never tried this with a drow.

Blade immediately knew what was happening. Cloud wasn’t satisfied with his battle earlier but who could blame him. Blade himself wasn’t satisfied with the outcome. Blade put away his dagger and was ready to unsheathe his blades if necessary. He now understood the sound he heard earlier it was the sound of a fully-grown Minotaur. He waited anxiously for either the Minotaur to come out or for Cloud and Krystalblood to disappear.

Cloud whispered to krystal for her to hide, but Cloud stayed right by Blade, ready to help him if he needed. Cloud wasn't one to leave a man to die. Cloud hoped Blade could take it, and maybe then he would be able to knock some sense into him

Blade's suspicions were confirmed but not entirely. He had thought that cloud would have left with krystal but he didnt. He unsheathed both his swords and stepped intot he clearing pas Cloud. The Minotaur was huge. Two bahemoth horns coming out of his head. He had dark red hair coming out at all directions. His weapon of choice was an iron axe head curved to cause more damage. He had leather gauntlets and boots. He looked hungry and like he was ready to attack. It was puzzling how the minotaur was out in this forest and not in a labyrinth, colloseum or with its herd. Blade new that Minotaurs used actions instead of words, used weapons that are very heavy, and have short tempers. He decided to use information for his advantage. He gripped his sword and stepped closer to the minotaur getting his attention.

Krystal grinned and turned to Blade with a sickeningly sweet smile. "Bye bye," she churred, waving. In the blink of an eye she had clambered up the nearest tree at the sight of the minotaur. Her bow and arrows were out, ready in an instant. Suddenly, something caught her attention and Krystal glanced to her left. There, a few yards away was a drow. Krystal inhaled sharply. A drow!? On land!? In the daytime!?!? That was something unheard of among their people, or so she heard. Drow were a rare sight indeed to see.
Looking back and forth from the other two to the drow Krystal scoffed. "He'll be fine," she muttered. Wrapping her cape around her she suddenly became one with the shadows, dissappearing instantly. With squirrel-like swiftness she bounded towards the tree the drow leaned against. Breathing heavily she sat down, unfurling her cape. She came into view quickly and Krystal grinned at the drow.
"Howdy stranger." she said, wondering if this strange drow knew of regular human language.

Cloud watched as Krystal bounded across the trees and landed by the drow, who had not made any actions since. He turned his glance to Blade, who was approaching the Minotaur with caution. He was waiting for who would make the first action.

Blade was concentrating on the Minotaur watching it stare stupidly all around it looking for the scent it picked up. Its eyes rested on him. Just like a bull the Minotaur snorted and got his axe which was lying on the ground. Blade waited. The Minotaur got ready to charge and started running full speed at him. Just before impact blade moved slightly to the right making the Minotaur dumbfounded which resulted in an impact with the tree. Blade was hit by his maneuver but just slightly on the left arm.

Krystal sighed, shaking her head. "He's just flaunting, happy as ya please. Thats how the idiot gets injured." she muttered to the drow, glad to be able to referee to a person for once and not just herself. Resisting the urge to shoot the minotaur on the spot, Krystal shifted her sword and watched on.

Blade waited for the Minotaur to get back on his feet. This time wasn’t going to be as easy to dodge as the first. This time the Minotaur had learned what to do to get past his attack. He was going to use his axe. This time when the Minotaur came charging Blade moved the left ducked under the axe and slashed at the back of the Minotaur using as much force as he could. It recoiled in pain falling to the ground vulnerable to incoming attacks.

Krystal smiled, stading up and climbing into the tree again. "Well done," she murmered. "Not the most original idea, but cunning, and something I'd do. Heh, well done." Preparing for the deathblow, krystal got out her bow and arrow, ready for Blade to make a move. He had done well. She almost didn't wish that Blade hadn't asked to join the Clan. Almost. (No she's not trying to kill Blade or anything, though she wants to >>

Cloud watched every move Blade made. He made stupid but courageous moves. Any thief or assassin could move faster and smarter than that, but only a warrior capable of being a knight could be so naive yet so brave. Blade was not like krystal and cloud... witty and swift. He was not built to be an assassin or a thief, or even a warrior at that. he was built to be a knight, a defender of allies and of the innocent.

((Sorry I wasn't on earlier... I had to play at a graduation - then went out to dinner with my bf. ^^; ))
Kossa gathered that what the foolish swordsman was taking some sort of test. She knew she shouldn't interfere. She looked to the Elf and smirked.
"Yes. He definately need to improve on his focus." she replies in human tongue. Her peridot eyes darted back to watching the 'test'.

Krystal sighed in relief, glad to hear the Drow could use human speak. As the two stood off, Krystal tried to send the Drow a fuzzy mental message, sudenly remembering what Cloud had told her, but it was an unused practice to her and a few words were garbled.
"Do.....wa....j..n..Adven.....clan?"
