Cloud glanced at Flyss and saw the spike coming towards her. He had many after him, but instead he unsheathed his sword, cutting through the chain of the spike after Flyss. He watched the spike as it continued towards the lycans skull. He couldn't stop it unless... ah, Flyss doubted his kindness to his friends. He dove at the spike and took it in his shoulder, falling to the ground in pain.

It got quiet after Cloud was hit. He heard swift movement in the bushes. Whoever had ambushed them before was now gone. Cloud's shoulder was punctured and it was bleeding uncontrollably. His breathing was shallow and wheezy. The spike must have hit his lung and he would die soon if it was not taken care of. Hawk had limited knowledge of healing and had only healed himself. Hawk thought he should try anyway. He walked over to the two and stood by Flyss. He mumbled a spell under his breath and did some archaic hand signs. Green sparks formed in the air and were sent to the wound. The sparks worked quickly healing the wound and pushing out the spike. The blood receded back into the wound and it closed up. The spike dropped down to the ground.

The lycan gave out a small, quiet whimper as she saw cloud go down in pain. But then Flyss gasped in amazement as Hawk healed the warrior who foolishly defended her. She finally got her foot free of the chains and limped over to Clouds side.
"You... You..." She started, her eyes were watering. "IDIOT! WHY DIDN'T LET ME DIE?! THE WORLD WOULD BE BETTER OFF." She shouts, voice waivering.

"Yes, i'm sure it would be, but i just had a major gash in my side and i'd appreciate it if you'd not injure my ear as well... but now do you trust me?" Cloud said giving Flyss the '-_-' face. "Plus, i can take a hit easily. I do this all the time. i suppose you could call it a hobby of mine, fighting, friends close to death, amazing but painful rescue of friends...and it is also very painful too."Cloud said. ((yes i notice that is redundant))

Krystal quickly dozed off, deciding not to bother Cloud as he tried to initiate the two newcomers into his clan. But she had remembered Hawk, that stupid annoying half-a. No wonder she had run into him. All her enemy's seemed to turn into obliged friends it seemed. What was the fun in that? She could now see why they had so many faithful members. She didn't even notice Cloud empty her package but started to fall asleep leaning on a nearby tree.
As her thoughts began to wander she suddenly awoke blearily, unsure why. A shadow moved nearby. She blinked, her hand on her hilt. "Guys...?" she started but was interrupted by the whistle of metal against wind.
Krystal cursed as a snare came towards her in the guise of an enchanted chain. "Oh for holy-" she left off as she tried to dodge the four that were flung at her. Four! It seemed the assassins didn't mind catching their criminals dead or alive. She saw each of her other companions were attacked as well but she turned her attention towards her own problems. This would be the newcomer's initation test.
Unsheathing her blade she grinned, her eyes dyeing red and her fangs twinkling. "Hah! The stupid guards decided it was time to repay my crimes!" she challenged. One grazed her cheek as she tried to dodge all four, one aiming for each limb. Swinging her blade quickly she managed to slice one in half, swinging around she caught another. Another rebounded on her head, the spike leaving a painful red mark.
Blood trickling down her cheek caught in her mouth and a small wound one snare made in her forehead dripped into her eyes. Cursing aloud she dug a wrist into her socket to try and get rid of the searing pain.
Before she knew it, one chain had caught both legs, wrapping them tightly and digging into her flesh. Pinwheeling her arms, she fell unbalanced to the ground. As she fell her sword was wrenched from her grasp and she looked up through stained eyes in time to see the hilt of her sword crashing down on her skull. Lights danced in her vision as she fell limp and the second chain wrapped around her arms.
"Gggh, h-help guys! It's...it's got me!" she cried out, her tongue thick in her mouth as the chain slowly dragged her into the surrounded bushes. Large black figures, five in all cackled as she struggled weakly.

The lycan sighed sarcastically at Cloud's mentioning of 'Friends' but her human ears twitched as she noticed something. Flyss heard Krystal cry out. She growled as she went down on all fours as if she were a wolf still. Even though she was in human form - certain events could trigger her wolf side. Although they are very rare - this was one of those moments. The young girl charged into the bushes snarling madly. She lunged at the figure that was working the enchanted chains and scratched at their throat, then simply bit where their epiglottis was located and held on even though the person was frantically trying to get her off. The figure went down, dead from suffocation and great blood loss. The death also made sure the person couldn't come back as a Lycan like her. Of course while Flyss was attacking the lone figure, two others drew their weapons and were slashing at her back side. They stopped for a second as the adolescent girl simply stood up and stared at them with her eyes appearing to be in a trance. Her victims blood painted her left cheek. The other two figures backed up slowly, not wishing to be the lycan's next target. Then one of the two drew a sword of silver.
The sunlight's reflection off of the sword awoke the human side of Flyss and she gasped in horror at what she had done. She also whimpered as she turned to flee, but not before she grabbed Krystal's cloak and crudely dragged her back to where Hawk and Cloud were. Flyss turned from the three and coughed up some of the figure's blood. "Sorry..." She whispered between coughs. The girl then knew what was coming and fled to behind a bush where she vomited the rest of it up.
((Gah. Sorry about the gore. >.< ))

Krystal groaned, coughing up the bit of blood that had fell into her mouth. She suddenly spat in digust, rolling onto all fours as she shook like a dog and managed to get the limp chains off her. Her eyes were yellow again and she wiped her mouth with her hand, seeing a large amount of blood there. She blinked stupidly, was this hers or someone elses?
She had faded from consciousness for a few seconds and her head ached. Blood trickled down from the wound her hilt had made. She awkwardly stood, up shivering and her legs wobbling. Unable to resist herself she quickly fell to her knees, then onto all fours. She breathed heavily, resisting the urge to throw up which would only make her weaker. The metallic taste of blood in her mouth, especially that which probably wasn't hers, was overwhelming.
She looked up to see four men coming out of the bushes with practiced grace. Cloud was on the ground and she suddenly tensed seeing his blood drenched around the grass. Stumbling to her feet she rushed over to him, ignoring her would-be killers approaching. "C-Cloud! God da-CLOUD" she agonized, her head exploding in pain. She fell to her friends side but blinked, seeing no wounds or any fresh blood.
"You're ok?" she asked incredulously. Growling she looked up at the assassins. Taking out her bow and arrow she steadied her nerves and the lights recede from her eyes. With a savage roar from both pain and the thought of her friend in danger she shot off two arrows, one hitting a man's head, knocking him to the ground, another hitting a man's foot and pinning it to the ground, both cried out in pain.

It all happened very fast. Krystal was dragged into the darkness surely going to die. He watched in shock as the instinct took over and made her act irrational. She might have gotten them into more trouble then they wanted at that moment. The captors came out of the bushes. They had black capes on concealing their faces. One of them brought out a sword and the other two had axes. Great Hawk thought.
An arrow shot the man with an axe knocking him unconscious. The other arrow hit the foot of the man with the sword. Two assassins were left one of the two was injured but it didn't stop him from charging the group. Hawk thought rapidly forming hand signs as quickly as he could. He spoke a quick spell under his breath. Flamma Parietis A wall of fire surrounded the two assassins. He was using a lot of energy and felt fatigued but he kept the spell strong.
His plan was to let the fire burn the oxygen around them so they will loose consciousness. He wouldn't have enough energy to keep the fire going as he grew weaker every second. He released one last blast burning them at the spot. On fire they ran away quickly pulling their unconscious partner with them. Green orbs surrounded Hawk as he collapsed.

Krystal shook her head, trying to rid the spots. Putting away her weapon she rushed over to Hawk, noting that he had just saved their lives.
Watching their would-be captors leave she couldn't help but smirk. "You will always remember this as the day you ALMOST caught Krystal-" she was about to finish when Cloud gave her a sound smack(Hope you don't mind ;D you controlled me anyway so nyah) on the top of her head, interrupting her. Hawk groaned, obviously in much pain and Krystal thoroughly chastened, attented to him.
"He's lost much energy. Conducting a spell of that size wears out ones being." she observed. "But how do I fix it?"

Flyss wiped the remaining spittle that was around her mouth on a large leaf. She then limped back to the others. She fell down onto her knees near the others. She bent her left arm over her shoulder and ran her fingers across her limited area of back. She winced in slight pain every time she passed an open wound. She drew her hand back and examined her hand. She assumed the wounds were not as serious as it could be and rubbed the blood off on her darker pants.
Flyss looked to Krystal. "I'm glad that you're okay." She comments and then looks to Hawk. "Hmmm. Those orbs appeared when he was healing Cloud... I'm taking a leaping guess and assuming he's healing himself." She then looked at how stressed his body. "But there is an area with natural hotsprings... They can make the most flustered merchant become unstressed. Perhaps he'll recover faster if we go there." She gets up again and walks over to hawk and attempts to pick him up but fails everytime. "Umm. Could I get some help please?" She sheepishly grins.

Cloud looked at Hawk. Krystal couldn't help him, and Flyss couldn't help him. He reached into his sack and picked out a beatiful pendant. he put it on and he began to hover, just above the ground. the Pendant had a beautiful red shine to it, until Cloud's facial features tightened and it turned into an almost holy-like, white color. a beam surrounded Cloud and it moved up, Cloud gone. a beam instanly hit Hawk, surrounding him in light. He was gone, too. Hawk and Cloud were taken up into the sky, where they could not be seen by any earthly being. Cloud looked at Hawk, who seemed to have regained his strength. He winked at Hawk and then Hawk came back down to earth. Cloud didn't follow, and Hawk was again out of his sight. Cloud looked up and then he didn't.

Krystal blinked. "I really wish I could do that." she observed. Standing up she stretched off the last of her weariness.
"Well, what now? The enemys are gone, and I'd say you and hawk definately passed the test." she said to Flyss. "I'll probably head over to the Misty Mountains later to meditate, get my magic skill up. Ever been up at twenty-thousand feet?" she asked the girl, smiling coyly.

Hawk nodded to acknowledge the idea and walked past her. He quietly went into the woods to travel up to the mountains. He often went to the moutons to meditate and think about different things. He felt bad about leaving without a conversation with the two but knew that he would meet them in the near future. He had hoped to get out of the area as soon as possible being that the area was now cursed with the blood of assassins and thieves.

Krystal yawned and jumped into a nearby tree, jumping from branch to branch as she headed towards the Misty Mountains, not noticing Hawks nod and not realizing he was going to the mountains as well.

Flyss saw that everyone left. She dashed back to the monestary to clean and decide the training the monks taught her were complete and she thanked all the monks before she left the area. She looked at her map and saw that she would have to pass through the mountains to get to where she was going. The girl looked up into the sky before she decided to part. Under her breath she whispered:
"That idiot."
