Hawk was inside a cave behind the massive waterfall. He had set up camp here earlier and now it was night. He sat by the fire wondering if the faded light could be seen through the waterfall. He sat at the back of the cave listening to the roar of the waterfall.
He watched as the fire's shadows danced on the walls and seemed to make a picture. Some legends told of old shaman using flames to tell the future. Hawk didnt believe it. He had stared at flames his whole life and never saw the future.
Tomorrow morning he would look for Cloud or one of his accomplices and find out what he needs to do to join the adventurers clan. He heard about it from his old town. He wanted to join for the adventure and to meet other mages like him and to hopefully learn some things. He wouldnt know what he would do once he met someone from the andventurer's clan. He wasnt a very outgoing person. He would just have to be spontaneous. Hawk sighed. He decided to rest a little while and shut his eyes.

Krystal approached the waterfall resolutely, eyes darting every which way. A pile of clothing, all identical to the ones she wore, hung from her arm. A few shirts and a set of pants. She glared at the cheery glimmering lake and the roaring waterfall as if it might bite her. She approached the banks and looked around again, making sure no one was watching or following her.
She then quietly dunked a set of pants into the roiling water, thoroughly scrubbing them. She did this for a moment before suddenly sitting up, ears perked and the hair on her neck rasied. Slowly, she swallowed and stood up. Someone else was here, somewhere close. Shaking her and yawning, then stretching, she sat down again, pretending not to notice. Perhaps they would get c o c ky and reveal their presence accidentally. Whoever it was, they were strong.

Hawk woke up. He yawned and got up. With a flash his magic lit the fire that had been extinguished. He heard a small sound coming from outside the volcanoe. He had to struggle to hear it over the roar of the waterfall. Someone was splashing around maybe swiming or washing something. He slowly got up and walked over to the edge of the cave. Making a small hole to see out of.
He looked through the hole and saw a warrior washing clothes. The good thing about the hole was if someone were to look in they would see a blur. Just in case he went back into the cave and put out the fire. He kept quiet not wanting conflict and he did not know if this person was friendly or not.

Krystal sniffed slightly. Smoke, she smelled smoke. Flames, a fire. then it was gone. She wondered how someone could get a fire lit and unlit that fast. Lookin up slightly she tried to pinpoint where her enemy was. Her eyes passed the waterfall where she knew a small reccess was and she stopped. There was a small blur in the screen of water....she blinked and it was gone. Perhaps just a small rock temporarily making a hole in the water? No. She had never consider anything a consequence.
Slowly and gently sliding an arrow out of her quiver she took out her small journal and tore a thick, yellow piece of paper out of her pack, a small ink vial and goose feather, and a thin scrap of animal sinew, she wrote a small note. Using the sinew she tied it to the arrow and slid it smoothly into her bow. With a twang, she shot it towards the waterfall.
She heard a small thud as it went through the curtain of roiling water and hit the soft exposed earth on the otherside. Whoever was there would pick up the note and read,
"I know you're here and you as well. You're cornered as a cat, so you'd better tell, why you're here and where you're going, and why you're spying on me.
"Try to leave and you won't get far, I'll leave you with a painful mar, and remember, I don't take prisoners."
(Yaaaay rhythming words xD)

Hawk saw an arrow fly through the waterfall and hit the dirt by his foot. This must be a warning shot. He picked up a small note from the arrow. It was damp and rough. He picked it up and read it.
He cursed silently. He knew he had stupidly given away his position and thought the best way to avoid conflict would be to step out of the waterfall. He slowly stepped out of the cave and walked over the water on to land. He slowly moved forward to the bow drawn stranger.
"My..uh name is Hawk. I come from the snow covered peaks" He said weakly. He didn't like being pulled out of his camp like this especially when he could probably crush his attacker quickly but he kept quiet trying to avoid any type of battle unless he really had to.
He examined his attacker. An elf with a demonic side. Good combination. The elf side for great agility and the demon side for power. He waited for her reply.

Krystal sneered, wrinkling her nose. "Hawk..." she repeated with disgust. He was a half-a. Half an angel, half a demon. Psh. Angels. They were so...overrated. Goody two shoes'.
She let down her guard. Just a mere hermit half-a. She could take him easily, he had strong power eminating from him but she doubted he could use it by now.
"Anything else?" she growled, shoving her face into Hawk's. "Like why you're here? Why you were within the waterfall? You could've scraed me half to death when I smelled flame." What a wimp. He seemed to cringe whenever she breathed. Best to eliminate him. She sighed throughh her nose, glaring.
"I don't trust your being here." she announced. 'Let's see what he says.' she wondered. 'See what excuse this half a pathetic angel can spit out for spying me.'

Blade was a little irritated now. She had just disrespected his entire race. "I was here first and I just set up camp. Besides that its none of your business." He knew that rogues were a little big headed but not this much. During the conversation he had his hands at his side ready to block an attack. He didnt feel he would ever need to but just in case. "Why would I spy on someone doing laundry. I have more important things to do. "

Krystal smiled, trying not to let frustration and impatience show.
"Perhaps it wasn't me doing laundry but me in general. Your story doesn't add up. Too many holes. What would you say if I said i wanted to battle you? Cry? You like you're on the verge of doing so. half-a." She repeated the infuriating taunt, slowly falling back into a fighter's crouch. One of the most insulting insults to be said in a battle, it pretty much insulted someone for existing as half of something. Usually demon or angel. In this case, both were useful. Sort of like a double whammy. Krystal was itching to battle, wondering what Hawk would say and react.

Hawk's face remained blank hiding all emotion. He was extremely irritated in how she acted and he felt she needed to get her head knocked in. He had his hand behind his back and he had conjured a flame. He was hiding it waiting for her to take the first strike. The thought that he was weak normally came to people because of his nonchalant attitude. He wasn't battle thirsty like others and he didn't fear a battle, He just didn't fight often. "So do you think you can intimidate me by calling me a half-a. Got tired of stealing decide to come here and act stupid?"

Krystal shook her head, the epitomy of laughter and with a look on her face that said, 'Boy what an idiot.'
"I came here to do laundry, as you well know, though if you truly wish to know, yes I just came back from a recent steal. What's it to yah?" she asked grin melting from her face. "You'll be dead before you can tell ANYONE!" and witht hat last word she charged her opponent, both hands on her sword. As she approached she gave a mighty horizontal swing.

If one word got to her like this he would hate to see what a lot of insults would do. She was indeed a powerful warrior. She looked like she had a lot of skill and she had a good sword also. He slid under the sword and got up behind her. He was a little surprised by the attack so he didn't have any time to counter very well. He did what he could do at the time. He threw the burning fireball at her.

Krystal cursed as she felt a searing heat and used the swing of the sword to bring it up to her face and block the flame. Wincing from the heat that spread through the hilt she attacked again for Hawk, feint towards his right side, then his left, then towards his chest.

He watched as she tried to confuse him by charging on seperate sides. He barely had any time to respond . She was very quick and agile with her weaponry. Hawk grinned as he saw an opportunity to humiliate her. He merely stepped off to the side and held up his dagger in a defensive position to block any side slashes she would make. Once Krystal was a little past Hawk, he chanted a few words and a gust of wind pushed at his opponet, sending her flying directly into a mudbank.

Krystal sputtered past the mud, quickly jumping up(With due difficulty from the slippery mud), glad to see no mud had tarnished her sword's sides.
"Oh yea!?" she snarled. "So if it's tricks and cursed magic you want to play with, so be it!" and with that she crouched, flinging her arms to either side, and vanished. Cackling and using her extremely limited power of wind she climbed the long wall of the waterfall,(after sheathing her sword) the roaring in her ear and lifted out her bow and arrow. Glad to have fletched many the week before she shot arrow after arrow at Hawk, never showing any side of waning.

Hawk saw the arrow wizzing through the air and it hit him in the arm and pinned up against the nearby tree. He grumbled pulling out the arrow. Green sparks traveled down his arm and healed the hole the arrow caused. "Well i bet you didnt think of that!" Hawk yelled into the air. He stood there quiet listening. He could hear some faint heavy breathing and he threw a fireball toward it.
